There are, in fact, several major airports (international and regional) that serve North Carolina. If you're traveling to North Carolina for a vacation, it stands to reason that your vacation will likely start at any of the following airports: Albert J Ellis Airport, Charlotte/Douglas International Airport, Moore County Airport, Piedmont Triad International Airport, Pitt-Greenville Airport, Raleigh-Durham International Airport, Smith Reynolds Airport or Wilmington International Airport. With these airports in existence, getting to North Carolina is actually as easy as pie.
Rail systems also provide you with transportation to and around North Carolina – the Amtrak, Silver Star and Silver Meteor all take you to North Carolina, and the state has an Inter-city rail. Trolleys, buses shuttles also serve the state and allows you to travel around north Carolina, should you wish to make your vacation more interesting. We will occasionally be posting bus and rail schedules for your convenience.
A good way to spend a North Carolina vacation is to have a road trip – North Carolina apparently has the biggest highway network maintained by any American state. This is why we will also be posting North Carolina road map images for you soon. Please check on this section regularly.
